Unlock your talents while exploring the techniques of improvisational theatre. This seven-week class will conclude with a performance at the Alliance Theater on Thursday, October 22.

Games, Patterns, & Comedy
Ever wonder what the "game" of an improv scene actually means? It’s simpler than you think! This class focuses on creating comedy by understanding what makes things funny and discovering these naturally in scenes for explosive laughs. Learn techniques to recognize and heighten patterns, usable for short-form and long-form, while having as much fun as possible! This is an advanced class aimed towards improvisers that already grasp the basics of improv. A class show will be held on October 23.

Advanced Scenework
Explore the dynamics of creating interesting scenes that feel more seamless than ever. This course is for improvisers with at least 1 year of improv experience. We will be focusing on scene starts, identifying patterns, generating characters, edits and transitions, ensemble play, and end the course with a performance on October 23.

Organic Improv
This course is designed for improvisers (18+) with at least one year of experience who want to build more connected, grounded, and fully alive scenes. Over seven weeks, you’ll explore what makes improvisation feel organic through honest choices, shared discovery, and ensemble-driven storytelling culminating in a live performance on October 21.

Form Exploration
Long form improv offers an incredible variety of formats, each with its own unique structure, style, and approach to storytelling. In this 7-week class, you'll explore that diversity by learning two different long form formats each week for the first seven weeks, culminating in a performance on October 21. This class is intended for advanced improvisers who are already comfortable with the fundamentals of improvisation.
